In 2025, Ukraine trained almost 100 pilot cadets, who will become the basis of the renewed Air Force. Training programs take into account the experience of real combat operations and NATO standards. In addition to pilots, engineers, ground personnel and intelligence operators were trained. This was reported by Ministry of Defense.
Last year, Ukraine implemented a set of measures to increase the personnel potential of the Air Force and units of unmanned systems. Together with international partners and domestic educational institutions, almost 100 pilots were trained, who in the near future will become the basis of the updated aviation forces.
According to the agreements of the Aviation Coalition, several groups of Ukrainian pilots mastered modern foreign-made aircraft. Training programs are fully adapted to combat experience and standards of interoperability with NATO.
In addition to the flight crew, the following were trained abroad:
- engineering and technical service specialists who ensure operational readiness of aircraft;
- ground personnel in the fields of airfield service and logistics;
- a group of operators of special equipment for working with monitoring and intelligence systems.
The domestic training system also provided training for almost a hundred pilot cadets. Based on the results of tests and qualification exams, more than 400 state certificates were issued to aviation personnel, confirming compliance with the highest professional standards.
“The training of new pilots and personnel is a strategic investment in the country’s defense capability,” the Ministry of Defense noted. A high level of training and integration with international standards allows Ukraine to strengthen its Air Force and increase the efficiency of both conventional and unmanned aviation.
The comprehensive training of Ukrainian cadets covers not only technical piloting skills, but also practical work with aircraft, logistics and intelligence systems, which makes them ready for modern challenges and difficult combat conditions. “We are forming a generation of pilots who will maintain safety not only in the air, but also in the entire defense system of the country,” the agency emphasized.
The recruitment and training of cadets continues, and in the coming years even more graduates are expected, ready to serve at the highest international standards.
