In Ukraine, two and 12 years of imprisonment of two former judges from the Crimea, who had passed to the Russian service, have been sentenced in absentia, the ARC Prosecutor’s Office reports.

According to the project of Radio Liberty Crimea.Realia, it is about Yuri Gritsenko and Olga Pavlyukov. Prior to the occupation, they worked in the Court of Appeal and the Chervon Guard District Court of Crimea, respectively.

After 2014, Gritsenko held a position in the Supreme Court of Crimea, and Pavlyukov in the Red Guard District Court.

“The actions of Themis, their actions, contributed to the establishment and functioning of the occupation bodies of the judiciary in the Crimea, as well as assisted the representatives of the aggressor state in conducting subversive activity against Ukraine,” the prosecutor’s office said.

According to the prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Igor Ponochovny, criminal proceedings were opened in Ukraine for more than 3,800 military crimes and crime crimes committed by Russian citizens in Crimea. Currently, the Ukrainian courts have approved about 200 sentences in this category of criminal cases, and another 580 cases are in the process of consideration.
