Advertising:

“Ukraine reserves the right to a response, a commensurate unprecedented level of unfriendly actions,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Ministry emphasized that any “recognition” of the Russian occupation of the Ukrainian territories is directly contrary to the resolution of the UN General Assembly No. 3314 (XXIX) “determining aggression”, which prohibits the recognition of territorial changes gained by military means.

Literally: “The Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, as well as Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions were and remain integral parts of the territory of Ukraine.

Details: It should be noted that in 2020 Ukraine has already imposed sectoral sanctions against Nicaragua in connection with the opening of this country of honorary consulate in the Ukrainian city of Simferopol occupied by Russia.

In connection with the situation, Ukraine called on the power of Nicaragua to immediately officially refute the statement of Ortega, if it is not true. The lack of such a refutation will be regarded in the near future by the Ukrainian side as a confirmation of the position, with all the relevant consequences.

That preceded:

  • On July 30, Nicaragua President Daniel Ortega sent a letter to the ruler of Russia Vladimir Putin, in which he “expressed full support and full recognition of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions as an integral part of the Russian Federation.” He also expressed support for the “heroic battle that Russia is leading against Ukrainian neo -Nazi, supported by NATO.”
