The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has strongly condemned and considers the Russian Government Decree of August 22, 2025, which the seaports of temporarily occupied Ukrainian cities of Berdyansk and Mariupol were included in the list of ports of Russia open to the West of foreign vessels.

Details: The department stated that such actions are another attempt by the Kremlin to legalize the occupation of the Ukrainian territories and consolidate illegal control over them.

Ukraine has called for international partners to impose additional sanctions against Russian natural and legal persons, foreign companies, as well as ships that will participate in commercial activities in the ports of Berdyansk and Mariupol.
