The Russian dictator is threatening a new Oreshnik missile strike, demanding the surrender of Ukraine and the entire civilized world – therefore it is important that the world community respond to this blackmail.

According to the correspondent of Ukrinform, this was stated by acting permanent representative of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna Viktoriya Kuvshinnikova during the regular meeting of the Permanent Council of the OSCE.

“Being emboldened by its impunity, Moscow even stopped hiding its intentions. If Ukraine continues to resist and exercise the right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, Russia threatens to destroy my country,” she said.

Kuvshinnikova cited Putin’s statement from December 16, when the Russian dictator boasted of the new Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile and justified its strike on the Dnieper, emphasizing its non-nuclear nature.

“But let’s make no mistake. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a nuclear, radiological, chemical, biological or other weapon. After all, it can only be effective when it is used to harm large numbers of people. As Moscow is doing by dropping its bombs on our cities. The purpose of threats to use weapons of mass destruction against the Ukrainian people is obvious, because Russia continues to terrorize Ukrainians and insist on the surrender of Ukraine. It means the same thing for my country – destruction,” said the Ukrainian diplomat.

“If Russia gets what it wants by threatening weapons of mass destruction, what future awaits the non-proliferation regime? If we fail to fight back against missile blackmail, where will these missiles go next? If we do not defend Ukraine today, what country will be named tomorrow “a threat” to Russia or another potential aggressor? That is why every threat to Russia to commit a new act of terrorism must be met with an even stronger response,” she emphasized Kuvshinnikova.

In this regard, she pointed to the urgent need to create a Special Tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression: “We should not wait for another Mariupol or Bucha to act. Russia has already killed too many innocent people. And the cost of this war for the aggressor must increase and in the future”.

“Russia’s so-called “peace proposals” are nothing more than a demand for the entire civilized world to capitulate. This explains Russia’s constant calls to leave Ukraine, which is defending itself against genocidal aggression, without means of self-defense. All this is not connected with any in view of this, it is extremely important to refrain from any unilateral contacts with the aggressor state, which could undermine the collective efforts aimed at ending the war, or helping Moscow spread its propaganda and avoid responsibility,” Kuvshinnikova summarized.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that an adequate person could not have proposed such a thing – only scumbags.
