In Saudi Arabia, an important round of diplomatic negotiations between representatives of Ukraine and the United States of America continues.
According to the “Public”, during the first part of the meeting, the parties focused on the ceasefire issues in the air and marine spaces. Also, the participants of the negotiations discussed a possible agreement on rare earth metals.
The meeting began at 11:00 and takes place in several stages. The Ukrainian delegation at these negotiations is represented by high -ranking officials: Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sibiga, Head of the Ministry of Defense of Rustem Umerov and Presidential Office Head Andriy Yermak.
The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Presidential Advisor Michael Voltz take part on the US side.
After a short break, the second part of the negotiations began, during which the focus is on safety guarantees. Representatives of both parties demonstrate optimism on the progress in negotiations.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a comment to the media that the parties were “moving to the goal” and National Security Advisor Michael Voltz confirmed that the negotiations were “moving”. The head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak also announced the continuation of work.
These negotiations are in the context of finding ways to stabilize the situation and strengthen the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the US. At the same time, the issue of security guarantees remains one of the most important for the Ukrainian side in the conditions of a long war.
