Ukraine is discussing with its partners the possibility of sending EU military instructors to train Ukrainian brigades.
This was announced on Monday, November 25, by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna, Suspilne reports.
“Of course, we are talking about the training exercises of the Ukrainian military, today we see it as an element of equipping Ukrainian brigades. That is, we ensure the staffing of the brigades, they must be provided with training and appropriate equipment,” Stefanishyna stressed.
According to her, it is only a matter of time when Western instructors will be able to train Ukrainian military directly on the territory of Ukraine.
“If we are talking about equipping about a dozen brigades that could deter and advance on the front, combat-ready brigades are an absolutely pragmatic solution that we are moving towards. Of course, we are discussing this with our European partners,” the minister added.
On November 25, Le Monde, with reference to informed sources, reported that discussions in Europe about sending troops or fighters of private military companies to Ukraine have resumed.
