The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine concluded a number of implementation agreements with the Ministry of Defense of Denmark. The partnership involves the implementation of a number of purchases from Ukrainian defense companies for a total amount of about 535 million euros.

The documents finalized the agreements that were recorded in the Letter of Intent signed at the end of September in Kyiv.
They will be financed by the governments of Denmark and Sweden and from interest from frozen Russian assets.
According to the results of the agreements, Ukrainian manufacturers of arms and equipment, both state and private, will provide the Armed Forces with self-propelled artillery installations, attack drones, anti-tank weapons, and missile weapons.
“We appreciate that Denmark sets an example in the development of the defense complex of Ukraine. This will make it possible to speed up the supply of the necessary weapons to our military, while strengthening the Ukrainian economy in the face of Russian aggression,” said Herman Smetanin, Minister of Strategic Industries.
Thanks to the “Danish model”, which provides for direct financing of manufacturers, Ukraine has already received 50 million euros, with these funds they financed the production of self-propelled artillery units “Bohdan” for the Armed Forces.
Earlier, the Danish government allocated 130 million Danish kroner (over 16 million euros) to support Ukraine’s energy system, as reported by the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities.
We also wrote that Denmark will allocate about 4.2 billion Danish kroner (approximately 629 million dollars) to Ukraine for the purchase of Ukrainian-made weapons.
Denmark also plans to create a fund to combine investments with the aim of expanding the Ukrainian military industry and speeding up production.
