PpResident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Canada Prime Minister Mark Karney August 24th signed a plan of action to implement a security agreement in the field of security between countries.

This plan defines the main directions and mechanisms of implementation of bilateral cooperation in the security sphere. It covers:
- military training,
- Development of defensive capabilities,
- Exchange of intelligence information,
- Cybersecurity,
- Fighting terrorism and hybrid threats.
Ukraine and Canada have concluded an agreement on security cooperation on February 24 last year. At that time, Canada was the first country from outside Europe to testify to Ukraine’s security obligations. Thus, states started a strategic security partnership in various fields.
Also, in the presence of Zelensky and Castle, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmigal and the Minister of Defense of Canada David McGinti signed a letter of intentions between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of National Defense of Canada for joint production of defense products in Canada and Ukraine.
We will remind, on August 24, the Prime Minister of Canada Karney visited Ukraine for the first time.
Canada will also hand over $ 1 billion to Ukraine in September.
