Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this and published a video of how the capital helped the Armed Forces during this year.

“Supporting our defenders is one of the main priorities of the capital. This year, Kyiv allocated more than UAH 12 billion from the city budget to help military personnel, veterans and their families,” Vitaliy Klychko said.

The mayor of Kyiv also said that in addition to allocating funds to support the military and veterans, the city systematically helps combat units. In particular, as indicated in the video, the community of the capital transferred to the front to various brigades almost 70,000 UAVs, 350 electronic warfare systems, cars and means of communication.

“In addition to financing social programs, the city systematically helps combat units – allocating funds for the most necessary for the military. Kyiv will continue to do everything possible to ensure that our defenders feel the support of the city – both on the front lines and after returning home,” said Vitaliy Klychko.

As previously reported, the Kyiv Military Hub operates in the capital to help military personnel, veterans and their families. They receive help with documents, training, employment, etc.

In addition, at the request of the veteran community, the capital is introducing new services. For example, compensation for the conversion of a car or housing for veterans with disabilities, compensation for rest, for part-time studies at universities, etc.

And from January 1, 2026, a system of personalized medical support for veterans will be launched in Kyiv on the initiative of Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
