Tyson FURY: “Usyk will refuse to fight him and will make the title vacant”

Former world champion Tyson Fury commented on the possible fight of interim WBC champion Agit Kabayel against Oleksandr Usyk. The British boxer believes that Usyk will most likely make the WBC title vacant, because it is not commercially profitable to defend the belt against ranked opponents.

“Personally, I don’t think that Usyk will fight someone from the WBC ranking, because it doesn’t make any sense. Will he be paid for the fight with Agit Kabayel? No. He wants to fight popular names who have fans. Therefore, he will make the WBC title vacant. Agit will become the champion, and then he will be able to defend it against the winner of the fight between Okoli and Itauma,” said Fury.

Previously, the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight title holder (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) talked about his plans and admitted when he intends to end his professional career. The boxer recently made the WBO title vacant and lost the status of absolute world champion.
