Details: Thus, the shortlist of candidates for the positions of new heads of the OVA was compiled by the deputy head of the OP for regional policy matters, Viktor Mykyta. But two of the five new regional leaders are Tatarov’s people.
“The appointment in Chernivtsi and Dnipro is definitely Oleg Yuriyovych. He also offered his person for the Ternopil OVA. There is such a first deputy head of the Ivano-Frankivsk OVA Vitaly Ilchyshyn. He is famous because he was an official in the militia during Yanukovych’s time. The new head of the Chernivtsi OVA is 47-year-old police general Ruslan Osypenko, who has been the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region since the end of 2021. He has been in law enforcement since 1996. He served in the Kyiv, Poltava, and Mykolaiv regions, as well as the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police.
The 44-year-old police general Oleksandr Ganzha, who was the head of the main police department in the Dnipropetrovsk region, will lead the Dnipropetrovsk OVA. Ganja started his service as a cadet in August 1998, and in the 2000s he worked his way up from the precinct militia in Kharkiv region to the chief of the regional police in Dnipro.

However, Oleg Yuriyovych used to control either the top security forces or at most deputies in the OVA. This allowed him to keep his finger on the pulse in the regions “in the interests of the president”. Now the deputy head of the OP, who was preparing to be fired just a few weeks ago, has reached the point where he promotes his people to the top positions in the regional administrations.”

- President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on January 3 announced the decision on the appointment of new heads of Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions.
- Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko announced on January 6 that the Cabinet of Ministers made a submission Zelenskyi on the appointment of new heads of Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and Chernivtsi regional administrations.
- President on January 8 signed the appointment decrees new heads of Poltava, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. On January 12, Zelenskyi appointed the head of Ternopil OVA.
