Fidan also stated that the main obstacle to peace is the situation with the territory of Donbass. At the same time, he said, based on his conversations with American partners, in this matter “in a few months there may be an opportunity to decide.”

We have no chance to surrender without a fight … If we give this territory, it will open ways to lose others. “The Russians say,” We will continue to fight, whatever it costs. He also said that there were several options for resolving this issue as a result of negotiations, “which could bring both parties to a common denominator,” but refused to provide details, saying that “they are very detailed and can be grueling.”
