It was the 1st meeting of tennis players. For Lesi, it was the sixth defeat in a row. The last time she beat Bianca Andreescu was at the tournament in Toronto.
In the next round, the winner of the match will play against Paula Badosa (#19 WTA).
Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska, Angelina Kalinina and Yulia Starodubtseva will also play at the core of the tournament in Beijing.
