President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the arrest of two generals and colonel on suspicion of negligence, which led to the loss of part of Kharkiv region in May 2024, did not affect the trust between the authorities and the military leadership.
“Trust is not lost. It is not just about the territory. Many people die during the fighting, and if we talk about negligence, it is not just about kilometers. There is a serious issue, let the law enforcement agencies be understood, ”the President said.
Zelensky noted that he was respectful of the senior officers, but emphasized that the leadership has the responsibility, because soldiers are killed. He stressed that the war cannot be an excuse for everything, and therefore the investigation is necessary.
The President also said that at the Chief Commander -in -Chief, he asked if these people were directly on the front line. He was told that he was not.
“If they were not in the trenches, then what are the claims to those who died? But to the command – there is. It is necessary to understand, ”Zelensky said.
During the Forum, Zelensky acknowledged that NATO is not on the table as a guarantee of the US, because the United States and several other NATO members against Ukraine’s accession. But we will not give up it.
Zelensky also stated that for the US ceasefire it is already the end of the war. It does not mean anything for Ukraine.
