Members of President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team are compiling a list of military officials slated to be fired. According to preliminary information, it may include members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States.

Two anonymous agency sources said the layoff planning process is in its early stages and could change as the new Trump administration takes shape. They also emphasized that such decisions could become unprecedented personnel changes in the Pentagon.
One of the sources expressed doubts about the expediency of such radical reshuffles in the US Department of Defense.
It is not yet known whether Trump himself would support such initiatives, although in the past he has been critical of military leaders who opposed him. During the election campaign, he promised to release ““awakened” generals and those involved in the controversial withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan in 2021.
Another Reuters source said the new administration is likely to focus on officers who had ties to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.
In Bob Woodward’s book “War” quotes the words of the general, where he names the newly elected president “a fascist to the bone.” Trump supporters criticized Milli for being so disloyal to the former president.
“Everyone promoted or appointed by Millie will leave their position. There is a detailed list of everyone who had contact with Millie. And all of them will be released,” said the second source of the agency.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff includes the highest-ranking officers of the US military, as well as the heads of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, National Guard, and Space Force.
