US President-elect Donald Trump has announced his intention to “strongly” seek the death penalty for people who have committed violent crimes. He plans to resume this practice, as it was during his first term as president.

This is reported by The Guardian.

His comments came a day after incumbent US President Joe Biden commuted the death sentences of most federal inmates sentenced to the maximum penalty.
