Trump wants to appoint his son-in-law’s father, Charles Kushner, as the US ambassador to France

US President-elect Donald Trump announced on November 30 that he wants Charles Kushner to become ambassador to France.

Trump published a corresponding statement on the Truth Social social network, calling Charles Kushner “an outstanding business leader, philanthropist and negotiator.”

Charles Kushner is the father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. He founded the Kushner Companies, a real estate company.

Jared Kushner is a former senior adviser to Trump and is married to Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka. The elder Kushner was pardoned by Trump in December 2020 after pleading guilty to tax evasion and illegal campaign donations.

Donald Trump won the US presidential elections, the change of administration and transfer of power should take place on January 20.
