Details: Earlier, the European Commission has fined the US technological company Google for 2.95 billion euros for violation of the EU competition rules in the advertising market.

Investigation of the European Commission found that Google has provided advantage of its own services with online advertising “to the detriment of competitors providing advertising technology, advertisers and online publishers”.
According to Trump, the EU “actually took the money that would otherwise go to US investments and jobs.”
“It’s very unfair, and US taxpayers will not tolerate this! As I said before, my administration will not allow these discriminatory actions to remain unpunished,” he added.
The US President has stated that it would be forced to initiate the process of trading investigation under section 301 in order to “cancel the unfair fines imposed on these American companies that pay taxes.”
The European Commission has been investigating Google’s advertising practices since the beginning of 2021.
The company was previously fined by more than € 4 billion due to its version of the Android operating system and its applications for it, which has become a record antitrust of the EU, which is currently being challenged.
