Details

The order signed by Trump requires the government to use the term “sex” rather than “gender” and mandates that government-issued identification documents, including passports and visas, be based on what the document says ” the unchangeable biological classification of a person belonging to the male or female sex”.

Within hours of taking office, Trump moved quickly to follow through on campaign promises to reverse policies put in place by the Biden administration that favored implementing diversity measures across the federal government.

Trump rescinded 78 executive orders signed by Joe Biden, including dozens of measures supporting racial equality and combating discrimination against gays and transgender people.
