“They cannot control the territory of Greenland. According to all the legal norms that have existed for 500 years, in order to control the territory, you need to be able to protect it, improve it, inhabit it, and Denmark has failed all these requirements,” the official said.

According to Miller, Washington considers it “unfair” that the US is “paying” for the defense of Greenland while it is under Danish control.

“It’s an unfair deal. It’s an unfair deal. And most importantly, it’s unfair to the American taxpayers, who have been subsidizing the entire defense of Europe for generations,” Miller said.

The official reiterated that Greenland is critical to US national interests.

It will be recalled that Miller previously said that the USA is a “superpower”, so they will behave accordingly.

As reported, US President Donald Trump’s aide Stephen Miller said that the US will use its armed forces to protect American interests without remorse.
