His words caused laughter in US lawmakers in the hall.
In his speech, Trump also promised to “ensure safety and make the rich” inhabitants of the island.
“And together we will lift Greenland to such heights that you have never considered possible before,” the US President summed up.
The publication is reminiscent of: Public opinion polls showed that most of the Greenlanders are against joining the United States, although most stand for its possible independence from Denmark.
