US President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Brooke Rollins, the founder and president of the America First Policy Institute, to the post of Secretary of Agriculture.

This was reported by the Voice of America, Ukrinform reports.

The America First Policy Institute is a think tank that worked closely with the Trump campaign. It is noted that for the past four years he has helped shape the policies of his future administration.

“As the new Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke will focus his efforts on protecting American farmers, who are the true foundation of our country,” Trump said. “Brooke’s commitment to supporting American farming, protecting America’s food independence and restoring the nation’s small towns that depend on agriculture is unparalleled.”
