The US president has rejected the assumption that Russia is deceiving him within the limits of these “peaceful efforts.”
“No, no one fools me. I try to help. You know it was Baiden’s war … It’s not Trump’s war. It’s a war that wasn’t supposed to be,” Trump said.
Earlier, the US President confirmed that he could leave attempts to conclude a “peace agreement” between Ukraine and Russia in the absence of progress, but did not name the specific conditions under which it will happen.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary -General Mark Rutte, reported that the United States was ready to move away from mediation efforts in establishing peace in Ukraine, unless a clear path to peace appears in the near future.
