“We have made some progress. The situation is complex and difficult. People are being killed on a scale that no one has seen before,” he said, without clarifying what he meant.

According to the elected American president, in Ukraine “the ground is flat”, so “the only thing that stops a bullet is a human body.”

“There is a very level ground, it’s basically the breadbasket of the world,” he added.

Trump also believes that what is happening in the war in Ukraine is “much worse than reported, for both sides.”

“We have to do our best, we did our best. We’ll see what happens. Since the election, we’ve been working every day so that the world can rest a little, to get rid of wars,” the politician said.

As is known, the Trump team is currently considering a plan to end hostilities in Ukraine and is conducting discussions with the current US administration and the Ukrainian side.

Earlier, the newly elected US president assured that he would not abandon Ukraine in his attempts to settle the Russian-Ukrainian war.
