US President Donald Trump after meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders in the White House called Putin. The minute lasted about 40 minutes and discussed the future meeting of Ukrainian and Russian presidents during it. This was reported by Reuters and Trump himself on the social network Truth.

– I called President Putin and began to prepare for a meeting between President Putin and President Zelensky in a place that would be determined later. After this meeting, we will have a tripartite meeting, which will be attended by two presidents and I, – Trump said.

The politician assured that meeting with Zelensky and a conversation with Putin is a “very good, early step” on the way to the end of the war, which has been going on for almost four years. He also said that Vice president Jay Di Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and specialist Steve Witcoff coordinate work with Ukrainian and Russian sides.

According to the Kremlin, during the 40-minute conversation discussed “the idea that it would be necessary to study the possibility of raising the level of representatives from the Ukrainian and Russian sides, that is, those representatives involved in the mentioned direct negotiations.”
