Benfica goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin became the fourth Ukrainian to score a goal for the Eagles in all tournaments.

It happened in the match of the 8th round of the league stage, in which the Ukrainian’s goal brought Benfica to the next round of the tournament.

Prior to Trubin, Serhiy Kandaurov (13), Roman Yaremchuk (9) and Georgy Sudakov (4) scored goals for the Lisbon team in all tournaments at different times.

An interesting fact is that it was in the Champions League for Benfica that Trubin became only the second Ukrainian to score a goal. The first was Roman Yaremchuk, who has 3 scored goals.
