Tour de France. Double Van der Pula success in the second stage

The Dutch Celebenant of the Alpecin Deceuninck team, Matthew Van der Pul, won the second stage of Tour de France-2025. Today, on July 6, riders overcame the longest stage of this year’s “Great Loop”-209 km of hilly distance from the loveni-plan to the finish line in the hill in Boulyn-Suin-Mer.

In the finish sprint, Van der Pulle ahead of two major favorites of the overall standings of the tour – the Slovenets of Tadey Pogachar from UAE Emirates and Danets Jonas Winggegore of Visma Lease A Bike.

For Van der Pula, this is the second in his career victory to tour de France, the first he won in 2021 on Moore de Brittan. The world exchmpion intercepted leadership in the overall standings of the Great Loop.

Tomorrow, July 7, as part of the third stage, the riders overcome 178 km of plain distance from Valenciene and Dunkirk. On Saturday, the first stage was won by Van der Pula’s partner on the team of Jasper Filipsen.
