When Father’s Day 2025
Father Day Ukraine celebrates one day with most countries of the world. This holiday became official in Ukraine after the Presidential Decree of 2019 and is celebrated at the same time when his father is international on the third Sunday of June. This year, Father’s Day in Ukraine and the world – June 15.
Facher’s Day is celebrated in a number of countries, including the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and others. And although the date coincides, but the meaning and accents are different.
Father’s Day in Ukraine
Father’s Day in Ukraine has been officially defined since May 8, 2019, when the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the Decree of the President of Ukraine “On Father Day”. Representatives of the International Center for Parenting were proposed to introduce this day in Ukraine, having launched a public initiative “Father Day” in October 2006. As part of this initiative, 10 thousand signatures of citizens were collected under a letter to the President of Ukraine with a proposal to enter the Father’s Day at the state level. Also in 2007 they held in Lviv, Kirovograd (now Kropyvnytskyi) and Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro) regional public forums of representatives of state, public and religious organizations “The role of a man as a father in a family and society”.
