The commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky confirmed the liberation of the settlement of the Green Grove in Donetsk region, at the same time reporting that the restoration of power over two other villages in the region – Mykhailivka and Vladimirovka.
-Our troops successfully switched on a counter-offensive and cleared of the village forces of the village in Donetsk region-Mikhailivka, Zelena Guy and Vladimirovka,-said on his Facebook-publication of August 24.
Later on Sunday the Main Intelligence Directorate The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informed that the settlement of Novomikhailivka of Donetsk region was returned under Ukrainian jurisdiction.
– As of today, Novomykhailivka is released from Russian invaders and is under the complete control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, – the GUR MOU’s statement reads.
The offensive actions were carried out by the departments of the Department of Active Acts of GUR MOU, in particular the Artan group, together with the 2nd assault battalion of the third separate assault brigade.
- On August 23, the operative-strategic group of the Dnipro troops reported in Telegram that the units of 37 separate Marine infantry brigade, acting together with 214 separate assault battalion OPFOR, captured control of the Zeleny Guy settlement in Donetsk region.
- The strongman made a speech on August 6, on the anniversary of the Kursk operation, where he declared the presence of Ukrainian military in the region.
