Law enforcement officers of the Zakarpattia region blocked three channels for the sale of military weapons and detained three people who were selling grenades, assault rifles, ammunition and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers in the region.

The police noted that as a result of the measures taken, a Transcarpathian was exposed who tried to sell a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher to representatives of crime. The attacker was detained near one of the catering establishments in Mukachevo, where he arranged a meeting with a customer. Ammunition was seized from his place of residence. Earlier, law enforcement officers documented the man’s sale of two grenades.
Another 33-year-old arms dealer was detained in the Mukachevo district. The law enforcement officers documented how the man disposed of the assault rifle, and later the cartridges for it. The suspect was detained at his place of residence in the village of Kolchyno.

All discovered weapons were removed from illegal circulation and sent to experts for examination.
