WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk was arrested at the airport of the Polish city of Krakow. This information was shared by the deputy of the VRU and former Ukrainian wrestler Zhan Beleniuk, who released the corresponding video.
A well-known Polish promoter Andrzej Vasylevskyi reacted to the arrest of the Ukrainian champion.
“Usyk is a great champion, a former absolute world champion. He is free. I would like to know who and why ordered him to be handcuffed like a common criminal. A terrible shame for the whole world,” said the promoter.
The Ukrainian boxer has already been released. Usyk called this situation a misunderstanding.
