The resonant story of the prosecutors, who massively filed for disability in order to be able to travel abroad and not be drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces, is still being discussed in society. But in general, the prosecutor’s office still remains a “body in itself”, for which, it seems, laws are not written.
Journalist Vlad Sydorenko drew attention to yet another scandalous story – already around pensions. He made a publication in his Telegram channel “Svobodny”.
According to the journalist, the former general prosecutor Andriy Kostin, shortly before his dismissal, commissioned an investigation into the high pensions that prosecutors were drawing for themselves through the courts. According to the internal orders of the OGP, this inspection is carried out by the General Inspectorate and the Personnel Department.
At the same time, Sydorenko draws attention to the fact that the position of the head of the General Inspection has actually been vacant since September 2022. Currently, the duties are performed by the deputy chief – Ivan Dzyuba. There are 15 people in the inspection itself.
“15 people, seven of whom are long-term and stable pensioners, who receive an additional 32,000 to 56,000 hryvnias in additional maintenance,” Sydorenko emphasizes.
According to the information provided in the declarations on the NAZK website, in 2023 Ivan Dzyuba received a salary in the amount of 1,520,862 hryvnias and a pension in the amount of 389,424 hryvnias. Yevgeny Kovalev, the head of the Department of Procedural Management of Pretrial Investigations and Public Prosecution Support of the General Inspectorate, received a salary of 1,528,280 hryvnias and a pension of up to 773,652 thousand hryvnias.
Svyatoslav Kravets, who holds the post of deputy head of the crime prevention department in the prosecutor’s office, received 1,320,317 hryvnias in salary and 153,402 hryvnias in pension in the same 2023. Mykhailo Cholombytko, another deputy head of the crime prevention department in the prosecutor’s office, has a salary of 1,304,828 hryvnias and a pension of 118,311 hryvnias – surprisingly, much more “modest” than his colleagues.
Sydorenko mentions a number of other names: Ihor Petrenko, Oleg Havryshchuk, Yevhenii Sanytskyi, Serhiy Yanovych, etc. All of them are officials of the General Prosecutor’s Office and members of the General Inspectorate, which allegedly investigates the illegal registration of exorbitant pensions. And all these people, by a strange coincidence, receive astronomical salaries and pensions of hundreds of thousands of hryvnias.
“By the way, Ivan Dzyuba entrusted the inspection to Ihor Prymych, the head of the crime prevention department in the prosecutor’s office, who hid his declaration from prying eyes, and it is obvious why. Some pensions are quite legal, but as a rule, they are small pensions… the amount of which does not exceed 6-7 thousand hryvnias per month,” Sydorenko notes.
At the same time, the journalist says, all large pensions (from 15 to 90 thousand hryvnias and above) are usually awarded exclusively by a court decision.
“It is not surprising that the scandalous managers, disabled pensioners of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office are also former employees of the General Inspectorate. As well as the former head of the inspection – Andriy Yakovlev, whose pension in 2021 and 2022 amounted to 335 thousand hryvnias and “strangely” doubled in 2023 to 605 thousand hryvnias,” Sydorenko writes.
According to the author, all this is nothing more than a circular guarantee. According to the journalist, the prosecutors are simply “brazenly robbing the budget.” Which, moreover, is half financed by foreign partners of Ukraine.
Earlier, UA.News reported on mass searches in regional prosecutor’s offices.
