Veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, reserve major Oleksiy Hetman told on Radio NV why the Russian Federation approved a new nuclear doctrine after the White House allowed strikes deep into the Russian Federation and predicted what would happen if the aggressor country still used this dangerous weapon .
Hetman reminded that the Russian Federation has been intimidating our partners with nuclear weapons for a long time, and especially after the start of a full-scale invasion.
“Just saying, we’ll show you, we’ll use the mouth [заступника глави РадбезуРФ Дмитра] Medvedev… This is no longer scary, it already makes our partners smile. That’s why they decided to scare more, as if to adopt certain laws according to which Russia can use nuclear weapons, by and large, when it decides itself,” said the reserve major.
“Putin has three trump cards.” Vadym Denysenko – about the likely first attack by ATACMS missiles on the Russian Federation and the aggressor’s new nuclear doctrine
According to Hetman, this should be considered as an attempt to put pressure on the part of the Russian Federation “and nothing more.” He added that if the enemy dares to use tactical nuclear weapons, the reaction of the world, in particular the United States, NATO “will be such that it will almost seem like it:
“William Burns, head of the United States CIA for several years, came [тому] to Moscow, and there were talks, as it later became known, about the possible use of nuclear weapons. And the Russians were told what would be done to them in this case. Namely (such information circulated on the Internet, we do not know how true it is): the entire Russian Black Sea Fleet will be immediately destroyed and the Russian troops located in the temporarily occupied territories of our country will be destroyed. There will be no retaliatory strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation, but everything they have in our temporarily occupied territories, in the Black Sea, will be destroyed not by nuclear weapons, but by high-precision weapons, which our partners have enough of. They have no way to protect themselves from such a blow.”
At the same time, he modeled what would happen in the event of a nuclear attack on the Russian Federation, although it is unlikely that the occupiers would take such a step:
“I don’t want to scare anyone, but the damage that tactical nuclear weapons can cause is not the apocalypse, it’s not the end of the world or a nuclear winter. Everything is completely different there. The dangers of nuclear weapons have been greatly exaggerated, and this has been done on purpose by the entire world in order to reduce the number of countries possessing nuclear weapons and to make people perceive the possibility of nuclear war as something that is the end of the world. It’s a really dangerous weapon, but it’s dangerous because it’s a powerful explosion.”
On September 25, during the first open meeting of the Russian Security Council on nuclear deterrence, dictator Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian Federation was updating its nuclear doctrine to include “clarification” regarding the prerequisites for the use of nuclear weapons by Russia.
Putin announced that the Kremlin will now consider the possibility of using nuclear weapons in the event of “aggression against Russia by a non-nuclear state with the support or participation of a nuclear state” and “receiving reliable information about the massive launch of air and space attack means” against Russia and the crossing of borders with such weapons of Russia The dictator clarified that it is about readiness for a nuclear response in the event of the use of such means as “strategic and tactical aircraft, cruise missiles, drones, hypersonic and other aircraft.”
