There is nothing to achieve: the former world champion urged Usyk to end his career

Former IBF and WBA world champion Paul Malignaggi shared his thoughts on the future of Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs).

The American spoke on Carl Froch’s podcast.

“Who am I to point at a grown man with titles? In my opinion, he’s done great and now he has nothing to achieve. Nothing will make him greater. Some may say he’s better than Ali. Some will call for him to work to beat Muhammad, but he won’t do anything to convince them.

By continuing to perform, you risk becoming old overnight, allowing yourself to be beaten, and then you will convince people that you are not the greatest. “I’m not one to tell a grown man what to do, but I would end my career in his place,” Malignaggi said.

Usyk knocked out in July of the British Daniel DuBois and became the absolute world champion in super heavyweight (over 90.72 kg) for the second time. The Ukrainian became the firstfrom the time of Mohammed Alli, to whom this achievement was submitted.

Earlier, Oleksandr Usyk announced his next fight and told how many years he plans to box.
