At about 04:30, the BMW X5 car was left of the oncoming lane to the one, which was served by the border guards, and ran into a concrete structure. As a result of the raid, the driver of the SUV, a 53-year-old resident of Perechyn with signs of alcohol intoxication, caused a senior border guard of serious injuries, from which he later died in the hospital.
The National Police Investigative Team arrived at the scene. The driver was detained, she refused to take into account the state of intoxication at the scene. The woman was also injured, so she was taken to a medical facility in which she is under 24 -hour protection.
On the fact of a road accident, police opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of transport by persons who drive vehicles in a state of intoxication”.
The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years in prison with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same term.
Sklovsky’s master at the time of death was 45 years old, 27 of which he gave the DPSU service. Volodymyr was a participant in hostilities, has a distinction of the President of Ukraine “for participation in the ATO” and departmental awards, the SSSU said. Without her husband and father, there are a wife and two children.
