Ilona Gvozdeva told why she will not return to “Dancing with the Stars” / photo instagram.com/ilonagvozdevaThe famous Ukrainian dancer Ilona Gvozdyova told why she will not return to the show “Dancing with the Stars”, on which she once won in a pair with Igor Lastochkin.
In her blog on Instagram, the choreographer recalled her experience of participating in the dance show, noting that she gave it her best and has no plans to return:
“My dancing career on the “Dancing with the Stars” project ended in 2021… I gave everything I could give to this project. It will always remain in my heart. And I don’t plan to go on the dance floor of this project again. And secondly, the project management did not invite me to participate in this charity edition! But, like most, I remain watching…”
Hvozdyova also “walked” through the new composition of the jury of the special edition of “Dancing with the Stars”. She noted that she was very happy to finally see Dmytro Dikusar there, however, Ilona was ambiguous about the others.
“As for Kateryna Kuhar, she remains one of the brightest figures on Ukrainian television. Her ability to be visible, to work between two countries and to maintain her own recognizable style is also a unique talent. Although she never knew ballroom choreography in her life…” – said the dancer.
She added that she would like to see professional choreographers in the jury instead of such stars as Monatik and Mogilevska, although she has nothing against these two:
“I want to believe that in the future, professional choreographers who have been creating dance art for years, but remain behind the scenes, will get an opportunity to show themselves.”
