“

Vlad Cherevko I have been interested in various types of electronics and technologies since the early 2000s. I like to play computer games and understand the operation of various gadgets. I regularly follow the news of the technology world and write materials about it myself.
The White House’s first post included a video compilation of Trump footage and memes, accompanied by the message: “What’s new Bluesky? We thought you might have missed some of our best moments, so we’ve rounded them up for you.”
The Ministry of Homeland Security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Department, the Ministry of War and other structures joined the initiative. In their first messages, they sharply criticized the Democrats for the long government shutdown. In particular, the State Department stated that “the shutdown of the Democrats undermines the country’s position on the world stage.”
The messages posted by the newly created government accounts on Bluesky were written in a humorous, trollish style. This tone suggested that the Trump administration’s communications teams were deliberately anticipating a backlash. This is because the Bluesky platform itself is known as a more “left-wing” alternative to Elon Musk’s X social network, and therefore sharp political statements there have expectedly caused opposition.
In response, many participants of the platform responded with negative comments and mentioned Trump’s connections with Jeffrey Epstein. At the same time, prominent Bluesky users urged their followers to simply block new government accounts.
Less than two days after its launch, the White House account was among the most blocked on the network. According to ClearSky, it was blocked by about 91,000 users, while the number of subscribers was only 10,000.
The only account with more bans remains the profile of VP JD Vance, who joined Bluesky back in June. Other newly created government accounts were also among the five most blocked in the last day.
