The Military Service of Law and Order in the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces spoke with an explanation about recent changes in the legislation of Ukraine regarding the one-month renewal of the service of servicemen who have committed SZH. The video was made public on the evening of November 30 on the page of the VSP.
The Service explained which categories of persons can benefit from the changes that have taken place.
“The specified changes to the legislation concern servicemen who voluntarily left a military unit or place of service or deserted before November 29, 2024, and whose military service was suspended,” the message reads.
A military serviceman of the specified category, having made a decision to return, no later than January 1, 2025, can voluntarily apply to the governing body of the VSP or arrive at a military unit specified by the list of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and express his readiness to continue military service.
Upon arrival at the military unit, the serviceman submits a report in which he notes information about the position he held and the military unit in which he served on the day of suspension of his military service, the number of the criminal proceedings and the body conducting the pre-trial investigation, if this the information is known to him.
“In the future, on the basis of your report, the commander of the military unit no later than 72 hours from the day of your arrival at the place of service, continues the military service or the validity of the contract, also, from this moment, the payment of money and the implementation of food, material and other types of security are automatically resumed.” – informed the VSP.
In addition, from this moment, the right to benefits and social guarantees, established by the legislation of Ukraine, is renewed.
