The Verkhovna Rada will resume direct broadcasts of meetings in September

A group of deputies, led by speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, registered the project of Resolution No. 13719 on the restoration of open plenary sessions of parliament. This will be possible due to improving the security situation and the need to increase the transparency of the council, even during martial law. A group of deputies, led by speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, registered the project of Resolution No. 13719 on the restoration of open plenary sessions of parliament.

This will be possible due to improving the security situation and the need to increase the transparency of the council, even during martial law.

The direct broadcasts of the meetings were stopped in February 2022 immediately after the start of the full -scale invasion of Russia for security reasons.

The decision on the special mode of operation of the Parliament and the restriction of the dissemination of information on real-time meetings was made in September 2022 and February 2023. Currently, some MPs are broadcasting through YouTube in poor quality.

We will remind, the Verkhovna Rada abolishes Soviet awards and introduces a new system of distinction.

The Verkhovna Rada also approved the legislative basis for Defense City.
