The Verkhovna Rada passed a draft law granting the right to a deferment from mobilization to civilians who were captured by Russia, as well as the right to release from service to those soldiers whose non-native relatives died or went missing in the war.

The draft law amends Article 26 of the Law “On Military Duty and Military Service”, granting servicemen the right to be released from service after the death or disappearance of their half-brother or sister.
In addition, the deputies voted for a postponement of mobilization for those civilians who were captured.
