The Verkhovna Rada voted for the appointment of a new Cabinet under the leadership of Yulia Sviridenko. 253 MPs voted in favor. According to the appointments, the government became fewer ministries – several agencies were united in one. Thus, in the new Cabinet of Ministers there are no individual ministries, agrarian policy, national unity. This was reported by “Public”.
New Ministers and Ministries: Denis Shmigal – Minister of Defense (Separate Voting, For ” 267 MPs).
Taras Kachka became Viceremier-Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
Herman Galushchenko was appointed Minister of Justice of Ukraine.
Svetlana Grinchuk became the Minister of Energy instead.
Alexei Sobolev was appointed Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture (was the first deputy of the then Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko).
Denis Ulyutin became Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine. (The Ministry of National Unity was connected to the Ministry of Social Policy. Oksana Zholnovich was headed by Denis Ulyutin Ministry of Social Policy. Until recently, Ulutin was the first Deputy Minister of Finance.)
Who retained the post: Andriy Sibiga – Minister of Foreign Affairs (there was a separate vote, “for” – 271 MPs, which is more than during the vote for Prime Minister Sviridenko and the whole government as a whole).
Sergey Marchenko – Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
Mikhail Fedorov is the first Viceremier-Minister-Minister of Digital Transformation.
Alexei Kuleba-Viceremier-Minister of Recovery of Ukraine-Minister of Development of Communities and Territories.
Matthew Poor is the Minister of Youth and Sports.
Natalia Kalmykova – Minister of Veterans.
Igor Klimenko is the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Oksen Lisovy is Minister of Education and Science.
Viktor Lyashko is the Minister of Health.
The Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs vote separately as their candidates are submitted by the President, not the Prime Minister.
- Earlier, on July 17, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Yulia Sviridenko the new Prime Minister of Ukraine.
- On July 16, the Council sent Denis Shmigal’s government to resign – it lasted a record for 5 years.
