The Verkhovna Rada approved in the second reading and as a whole two key laws that create a legal basis for the Defense City initiative, a special legal regime for weapons producers, said MP Danilo Getmantsev.
Laws provide for amendments to the Tax and Customs Codes to support enterprises of the defense industry.
The Defense City regime is introduced by January 1, 2036 or before Ukraine’s accession to the EU, and instead of the list of Defense City register under the Office of the Ministry of Defense. The status of the resident, the terms of its receipt and control are determined by the Law on National Security of Ukraine, and the share of qualified resident income will be from 75% (for aircraft construction – from 50%).
Getmantsev specified that residents would receive tax benefits – exemption from income tax subject to reinvestment, land, immovable and eco -tax – simplified customs procedures, simplified export control of military goods, the possibility of establishing the features of the NBU currency surveillance.
“This is the foundation for the development of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex-it will not only enhance the defense capability of the state, but also create new opportunities for investments, technologies and jobs,” the People’s Deputy on Telegram wrote.
We will remind, the BP will vote for the withdrawal of UAH 8 billion from the budget of Kiev this week.
The Verkhovna Rada also registered a bill to strengthen responsibility for discrimination.
