The United States of America has announced new sanctions that hit the oil refining industry of the aggressor state, Russia.

Details: The document refers to the introduction of sanctions against Gazprom Nafta and Surgutnaftogaz.
The restrictions also apply to the vessels of the Sovcomflot company, which is the largest in the Russian Federation.
183 vessels participating in the export of Russian energy carriers, which are part of the so-called “shadow fleet” of the Russian Federation, were blacklisted.
The structure of Rosneft – Rosnefteflot – also came under sanctions.
Sanctions were also introduced against the Russian insurance companies Ingosstrakh and Alfastrahuvanny.
Dozens of Russian officials from the energy sector and heads of companies fell under the restrictions.

- It became known that Joe Biden’s administration is discussing the possibility of introducing new “serious sanctions” against the Russian energy sector before the end of his term.
