The US Senate presented a bill that establishes regional restrictions on emissions for cryptocurrency production and CIi data centers.
Clean Cloud ACT Sheldon Waithaus and John Fetterman were offered by the Democrats Party.
He makes amendments to Clean Air ActBy demanding a capacity of more than 100 kW from compliance with the limit rates that depend on the region. According to the project, for each state by the end of the year will set their own parameter.
The document provides an annual reduction in regional limits by 11% up to zero by 2035, demanding that companies switch to renewable energy sources.
If they are exceeded, penalties indexed for inflation are provided. The bill refers to the prohibition of transferring these costs to consumers. Liability is entrusted to tenants.
The funds raised will be directed to limit the potential increase in electricity prices for the population by providing grants to local municipalities, as well as to finance the introduction of environmentally friendly sources.
The bill obliges companies to form annual consumption reports and sources of receipt for emissions.
