The US presented their own inexpensive version of Iranian Shahaneda

Vlad Cherevko I have been interested in all kinds of electronics and technologies since 2004. I like to play computer games, and I understand the work of different gadgets. I regularly monitor the news of the technology in the world and write materials about it.

The US presented a new Lucas (Low-Cost Uncrew Combat Attack System), which is positioned as a cheap and functional analogue of Iranian drone Shahd-136. The Defense Blog writes about it.

The presentation of the drone, which was attended by US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegset, took place in the Pentagon’s inner yard as part of the demonstration of autonomous systems for multi -dominant operations. The UAV developer is the Arizonian company Spektreworks.

Lucas is classified as a reliable and economically effective drone that is suitable for use in difficult conditions with minimal logistics needs. It has an open architecture that allows you to integrate different types of amounts of load – from intelligence to shock missions and communication support.

The device can function as a target target or as a combat drone with optional power. Among the available start -up options is a truck start or with a rocket accelerator. This allows you to quickly deploy the system without special training.

Lucas is able to interact autonomously with other devices and strokes using network -centered capabilities, with lower costs compared to traditional platforms. The Dron Network supports the remote switching of equipment during flight and power from 28V and 12V sources.

Lucas is expected to serve as a repeater. According to Spektreworks, the system has already been tested and is ready for production.

Analysts believe that Lucas will be able to strengthen the US potential for dispersed operations, especially in the Indo-Pacific.
