Muhova’s last match was played on October 19 against Mirra Andreeva in the semifinals of the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo. Then Carolina withdrew from the match at the start of the second set.
The final round of the KBDC will start on November 13 in Malaga. The Czech Republic will play against the winners of the Spain-Poland match in the quarter-finals.
Earlier, Jessica Pegula (USA) and Bianca Andreescu (Canada) refused to participate in the final part of the team tournament.
