The USA suspended contributions to WADA / photo REUTERSThe United States suspended the payment of contributions in the amount of $3.6 million to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for the past year.According to Reuters sources familiar with the situation, the US debt to WADA could lead to the fact that the country will be deprived of the right to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games, and American athletes will have to compete in competitions without the national flag and anthem.
It said the US position on ending WADA payments is to force the sports watchdog to implement global reforms.
