Details: “Today, the United States imposes sanctions against Shandong Shengxing Chemical Co, LTD, located in China, a small independent oil refinery plant for the purchase of Iranian oil worth more than a billion dollars,” the US State Department said.

The United States also impose sanctions on several companies and vessels involved in facilitating the supply of Iranian oil to China as part of the “shadow fleet” of Iran, added in the State Department.
“Because Iran seeks to receive income from the sale of oil to finance their destabilization activities, the United States will hold both Iran and all its partners who evade sanctions,” the statement said.
On March 13, the US Ministry of Finance announced the next package of sanctions against the Iran oil sector, including companies and vessels related to its “shadow fleet”.
Meanwhile, according to media reports, Iran seeks to mitigate sanctions under “nuclear negotiations” with the United States.
