Such figures were given by UN Deputy Secretary General for Disarmament Affairs Izumi Nakamitsu at the meeting of the Security Council, Ukrinform’s own correspondent reports.

“For the period from February 24, 2022 to November 30, 2024, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights recorded more than 12,340 dead and 27,836 wounded civilians in Ukraine,” she said.

Nakamitsu noted that approximately 42% of losses in Ukraine during November were the result of Russia’s use of long-range weapons, which is significantly higher than in previous months.
